ASTEROID GOT A CHANCE

Scientists believe that ABOUT 30 yrs from now an asteroid will hit the earth. They have discovered that it pass us every 3 yrs. The asteroids have an Orbit given below:

Near Earth Asteroids

Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHA) are space rocks larger than approximately 100m that can come closer to Earth than 0.05 AU. None of the known PHAs is on a collision course with our planet, although astronomers are finding NEW ONES all the time.

On January 3, 2015 there were potentially hazardous asteroids.

Global Warming

                                     

Global warming is the increasing in Earth's Temperature Globally. Increase in fossil fuel emissions and increase in Green house gases causes this. Increase in temperature causes the glaciers to melt and there will be an increase in sea and river levels that can cause floods and can submerge islands.

Green House Effect

Green House Gases trap heat inside that atmosphere. Some of these are carbon dioxide and methane. These go up and form a layer in the atmosphere, that traps and absorbs heat. Heat from the sun is trapped and absorbed by these gases and reach the earth's crust. When these are reflected by the earth, they can't escape due to the layer of these gases, and the heat of the planet increases.

Pollution

Air pollution doesn't cause global warming, it just pollutes the atmosphere. Many people mistake this thing, and tell to not use more vehicles, as they will increase carbon monoxide in the atmosphere, which can cause global warming. The main reason is that petroleum produces carbon dioxide, and this causes global warming.
Industries use fossil fuels like coal, which are burnt and carbon dioxide is released. This must be minimized, as earth can be destroyed with increase in temperature.

CNG

The one thing you would not known that CNG is also a green house gas, but not air polluting gas. It is called 'clean fuel' as it doesn't pollute environment, but causes global warming.

What we can do ?

We can minimize our vehicle use and go walks or use public transport. We can improve our technology, so that we use solar energy for electricity generation, instead of coal. We can spread awareness, so that we can minimize the green house gas emissions. We must not cut trees, as they can only absorb carbon dioxide. We can plant more trees, so that more carbon dioxide is absorbed, that being released by animals.

How to prevent Global Warming

Global warming is the heating of Earth, due to green house gases. It is very dangerous as if heat increases, glaciers can melt, thus increasing the sea level and increasing river flow. This can cause floods, and there will be a loss of lives and property.
