Planet X

After a mathematical calculation, which led to the discovery of Neptune, scientists believed that another planet might exist, but not visible. This planet disturbed the orbits of the outer planets. So, it is possible that a planet might exist like that, so they named it the 'Planet X'.

This Planet X was disturbing the orbits of the outer planets. So in 1986, Harrington researched about this cause. After this, many scientists concluded that this planet would be very far away from Neptune, and has a strong gravitational pull. At that time, they cannot search with telescopes, as it's calculated distance was very far. After the death of Harrington, many scientists didn't support the existence of the planet and it was not on a regular orbit around the sun, but was orbiting in a opposite direction of the planets, that were in the solar system. After this incident, the existence of Plant X vanished and concluded that it was some other object in the solar system, very far away, that affected the orbits of the outer plants.

This idea of 'Planet X' led to Hollywood's interest in making such a Movie. 'The Man from Planet X' was an inspired movie of this idea.
